I launched Mountainwize Coaching in 2015.
From 1993 to the mid 2000s I lived mostly out of a truck going from one mountain climbing expedition to the next. I made money by teaching environmental education in the winter months.
I applied the mindset of mountaineering to the business world and had a lot of success running small effective operations.
I have launched several businesses to success using very little seed money. I have lunched businesses in Education, Marketing, Real Estate and Construction.
In 2015, I took a break from everything and became a monk for at a qi gong center in Santa Cruz CA.
I lived on the floor of the center and did qi gong for 45 minute sessions 3 times a day for 6 months.
I have never been happier than I was alone and executing in the mountains.
Mountainwize is my attempt at encapsulating that happiness and applying it in the confused spaces of the modern world.
